LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman forward Gabby Worthy (Bremen, Ga.) of the LaGrange College women's soccer team was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 28, 2025, in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.

"Congratulations to Gabby, I'm very excited to see her earn her first conference player of the week award." Head coach Kaine Baker said of the first-year standout forward. "Gabby had a great week for us which resulted in four big conference goals. Gabby's contributions played an important part in our team ending the week undefeated in conference play. Now our team is looking to build on our recent performances and continue the rest of the year with this strong form."

Worthy scored a pair of goals in back-to-back matches this week as the Panthers opened conference play against Agnes Scott and Covenant College. The Bremen High School product was paramount in bringing LC back from a two-goal deficit against the Scots on Saturday to force a draw and preserve their undefeated streak in CCS play.

At press time, Worthy leads the Panthers with 12 points (5G, 2A) in 10 games.

Worthy was previously recognized by the CCS as the Rookie of the Week for week ending September 14, 2025. 

LaGrange is back on the field on Wednesday when they host Belhaven University for a 4:00 p.m. kick at Panther Field.
