LAGRANGE, Ga. – Two student-athletes from the LaGrange College women's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team as announced by the CSC on Tuesday.

Graduate defender Madison Dekker (Columbus, Ga.) and senior midfielder Kennedi Vowell (Harris County, Ga.) were both recognized by the association for their performance both on the field and in the classroom.

The Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

"Congratulations to Kennedi and Madison!" LaGrange head coach Kaine Baker said of his standouts. "They have been two great leaders for our program both on the field and in the classroom. I'm very proud of them for their dedication and am glad to see them get the recognition for their efforts."

The College Sports Communicators – formerly CoSIDA – have recognized outstanding academics among student-athletes since 1952.
