MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team lost 6-0 in the season opener at Berry College in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at Bob Pearson Field in Mount Berry, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers held off the Vikings' offense until the 24th minute when Berry's Abby Morgan (Larkspur, Calif.) broke through for her first goal of the season. A penalty kick by Berry freshman forward Heidi Swain (Columbus, Ga.) in the 42nd minute gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, and LaGrange was unable to hang on in the second half.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange junior goalkeeper Kendall Lewis (Atlanta, Ga.) posted a valiant effort in net, tallying a career-high 13 saves in less than 74 minutes.
- Sophomore midfielder Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.) and freshman midfielder Tatianna McCoy (McDonough Ga.) each had a shot on goal for the Panthers.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the field on Saturday when they play host to Warner University in an 11:00 a.m. game. It will be the Panthers' home opener.
