Worthy Takes Another CCS ROW for Women’s Soccer

LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman forward Gabby Worthy (Bremen, Ga.) of the LaGrange College women's soccer team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 12, 2025 in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.

Worthy continued her impressive debut season, scoring in both of the Panthers' matches last week. Worthy found the net in a heart-breaking 2-1 loss to Piedmont on Wednesday before adding another goal in a 5-1 win over Wesleyan on Saturday. She now leads LaGrange with seven goals this season and ranks among the top five in the CCS. For the week, Worthy totaled two goals on six shots, including five on target.

It is her second CCS Rookie of the Week award, having previously been so recognized for week ending September 17th. Worthy was also named the CCS Player of the Week for the week ending September 28th.

"Congrats to Gabby!" LaGrange head coach Kaine Baker said of his star rookie. "She scored two good goals in conference play this past week and the award is well deserved. Now we'd love to have her continue to build on those performances as we head into an important week for our playoff push."

LC returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Montgomery, Alabama to take on rivals Huntingdon College for a 7:00 p.m. (6CT) kick.
