WILMORE, Ky. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team lost 1-0 on the road at Asbury University in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday at the Asbury Soccer Field in Wilmore, Kentucky.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 14th minute, the Eagles drew first blood when sophomore forward Emily Carpenter (Morgantown, W.V.) put it through for her seventh goal of the season to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. That score would hold up going into halftime.
- Despite an aggressive effort from LC to equalize the match in the second half, they were ultimately held off the score sheet as the Eagles held on for the one-nil victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange freshman goalkeeper Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.) tallied six saves on the day while in net for the Panthers.
- The Panthers were only edged in the shots on goal department by a single shot as the total rung 6-7 in favor of Asbury.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the field on Wednesday when they host to Piedmont University for a 7:00 p.m. CCS matchup at Panther Field.
