MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team tied 1-1 at Huntingdon College in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Wednesday evening at the Samford Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Alabama.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first half, the Panthers picked up the attack with five shots in the first 17 minutes of the second period including three on goal. The stalemate was finally broken in the 84th minute when LaGrange senior forward Kaia King (Canton, Ga.), setting up on the weak side of the Huntingdon goal, took a long cross through the Hawk defense from freshman midfielder Kennedi Miller (Harris County, Ga.) and kicked it through the left corner for her third goal of the season to put the visitors up 1-0. The lead would be short-lived, however, as just 11 seconds later, Huntingdon sophomore forward Shaylinn McFarland (Madison, Alabama) took a short pass off a breakdown of the Panther defense and finished to knot it up at 1-1. That would hold up for the final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange freshman goalkeeper Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.) finished with one save for the Panthers.
- Huntingdon sophomore goalkeeper Madelon Machen (Gadsden, Ala.) tallied six saves for the Hawks.
- Total shots were 21-11 in favor of LaGrange with a 7-2 edge in shots on goal.

- LaGrange is back on the field on Saturday when they travel to Maryville College for a 2:00 p.m. game.
