Mighten Finishes Season at NCAA Championships

Ryheem Mighten
LACROSSE, Wisc. – Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) of the LaGrange College men's track and field team concluded his outstanding rookie season at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday evening in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.

Mighten, who earlier this took first in multiple events at the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championships on way to being voted the CCS Rookie of the Year, had qualified for nationals in the men's 200 meter dash in just his first season in LaGrange, becoming the first Panther in school history to reach the NCAA's in just the program's first season.

Mighten, running in the first heat of the first round of the 200, finished seventh of eight in his heat with a time of 21.68, finishing 20th of 22 competitors overall.

With Mighten's performance on Thursday evening, the 2025-2026 LaGrange College athletics year comes to a conclusion. Congratulations to Ryheem, the L.C. track and field program, and to all the Panther student athletes for a great year.
