LAGRANGE, Ga – As the LaGrange College men's track and field team began participating in their first-ever Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championships in Jackson, Mississippi, LaGrange freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) was recognized by the conference as the CCS Track Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 19, 2026.

Brown turned in a notable performance in the 400-meter dash at the Georgia Tech Invitational, clocking a time of 50.17 at his most recent meet. Competing in a field of 65 runners, the freshman placed 54th, with his time currently ranking sixth in the CCS this season.

We await word of Brown's performance at the CCS Championships.
