ATLANTA, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet hosted by Emory University at Woodruff PE Center Stadium in Atlanta this weekend.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Freshman Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) posted a school record 5.43 meters in the women's long jump, a mark that also ranks her first in the Collegiate Conference of the South. Bell's 10.85 meters in the women's triple jump also leads both the CCS standings and the LaGrange record books. In addition, Bell's long jump distance ranked her third in the event for the day. Bell also clocked in at 12.41 in the women's 100-meter dash and 26.49 in the women's 200-meter dash (a personal best).
- Freshman A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) ran a time of 12.34 in the women's 100-meter dash, just .03 off her own school record. Hill also ran a 26.15 in the women's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Kevanique Hill (George Town, Cayman Islands) ran a 28.06 in the women's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) ran a 47.90 in the men's 400-meter dash, setting a school record and ranking him first in the CCS. At press time, that mark also ranked him in the top ten for Division III. Mighten also had an 11.02 in the men's 100-meter dash and a 21.70 in the men's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Fabian Coleman (Atlanta, Ga.) clocked in at 11.06 in the men's 100-meter dash, a personal record. He also had a 22.97 in the men's 200-meter dash and a 50.68 in the men's 400-meter dash.
- Freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) ran a time of 11.19 in the men's 100-meter dash and a 22.42 in the men's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Alan Vidrio Buen Rostro (Lawrenceville, Ga.) posted a time of 2:15.06 in the men's 800-meter run, breaking his own school record. He also had a 4:41.50 in the men's 1500-meters, again setting an L.C. record.
- Freshman D'Aaron Cox (Atlanta, Ga.) threw for a distance of 8.99 in the men's shot put, and a 31.93 in the men's discus. The discus mark broke his own school record in that event.
