LAGRANGE, Ga. – Graduate outfielder Jorge Fragoso (East Point, Ga.) of the LaGrange College baseball team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Player of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2026 in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

Fragoso – "J.J" to his teammates – led the LaGrange offensive during a 2–2 week that included two conference wins over Asbury this past weekend. The graduate outfielder hit .500 (8-for-16) while collecting three doubles, driving in five runs, and scoring three times. Fragoso posted a .688 slugging percentage and contributed defensively with a perfect fielding percentage, recording six putouts in the outfield.

It is the first time a Panther has claimed CCS Player of the Week honors since senior catcher Carson Burgamy (Woodstock, Ga.) claimed the title on April 28^th of last season. It is also the fourth time a Panther has earned a CCS weekly award during the 2026 season, as freshman second baseman Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.) has been the Rookie of the Week twice while freshman outfielder Ben Edge (Newnan, Ga.) has earned to ROTW once.              

The Panthers are back on the field on Friday when they travel to Covenant College to play the host Scots in a 2:00 p.m. game to open a three-game series.
