LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College baseball team lost 11-6 against visiting Berry College in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Vikings struck first in the top of the first when senior third baseman Riley Uhls (Lexington, Ky.) hit an RBI groundout that saw senior shortstop Garrett Lang (Macon, Ga.) score from second despite an outstanding throw by LaGrange senior shortstop Jackson McElvy (Kennesaw, Ga.) to get Uhls at first as the visitors went up 1-0.
- It was Uhls again in the top of the third with an RBI single to left to bring in Lang, putting Berry up 2-0 after two.
- The Panthers answered in the bottom of the third as LaGrange freshman second baseman Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.) scored from third on a passed ball, followed by an RBI groundout by junior catcher Nicholas Ford (Canton, Ga.) to drive in McElvy, tying it up at 2-2.
- Down 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, LaGrange senior first baseman Curt Bonner (Cartersville, Ga.) came to the plate with two runners on and crushed a double to right as McGhee and McElvy both crossed home plate to put the Panthers ahead 4-3.
- Down 11-4 in the bottom of the ninth, Bonner came through again with an RBI single through the right side to plate junior right fielder Ben Hollenbeck (Newnan, Ga.). On the very next at-bat, McElvy scored from third off a wild pitch, but that was as close as the Panthers would come as the Vikings slammed the door to take the win.
