COLUMBIA, S.C. – The LaGrange College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the USC Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) broke his own school record in the men's 200- meter dash with a time of 21.55. Mighten's time ranks him 18th in the nation in Division III for this season. Mighten later broke his own school record in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 48.59.
- Freshman A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) dominated in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.84 in the preliminaries and tying her own school record in the semifinals with a 7.80, ranking her 60th in the nation as of press time.
- Freshman Alan Vidrio Buen Rostro (Lawrenceville, Ga.) broke his own school record in the men's 800-meters, finishing with a time of 2:13.42.
- Freshman Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) set a personal record in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99. She later clocked a 26.99 in the women's 200-meter dash. Bell later posted a 5.08 in the women's long jump.
- Freshman Fabian Coleman (Atlanta, Ga.) clocked a time of 7.11 in the men's 60-meter dash preliminaries. Coleman also came in with a time of 23.52 in the men's 400-meter dash, setting a personal record.
- Freshman Kevanique Hill (George Town, Cayman Islands) had a personal record in the women's 200-meter dash with a 29.05.
- Freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) set personal records in the men's 200-meter dash (22.28) and in the men's 400-meter dash (50.94).
- Freshman Jaylah Ortiz (Atlanta, Ga.) had a 1:12.31 in the women's 400-meter dash.
