BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The LaGrange College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Samford Indoor Open hosted by Samford University at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) set a school record in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 51.53.
- Freshman A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) posted a time of 8.02 in the women's 60-meter dash preliminaries, shattering her own school record by .11 seconds. She later posted a 29.38 in the women's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman D'Aaron Cox (Atlanta, Ga.) broke his own school record in the men's shot put, throwing for a distance of 10.39 meters.
- Freshman Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) set a school record in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.60. Bell also had an 8.08 in the women's 60-meter dash preliminaries.
- Freshman Fabian Coleman (Atlanta, Ga.) ran a 7.05 in the men's 60-meter dash preliminaries.
- Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) clocked in with a time of 7.12 in the men's 60-meter dash prelims. He would go on to post a 22.01 in the men's 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Jaylen Adams-Gibson (Rome, Ga.) posted a 52.48 in the men's 400-meter dash.
- Freshman Cymir Zeigler had a mark of 12.53 in the men's triple jump.
