Coleman, Dorn join Panther Baseball coaching staff for 2025-26

LaGRANGE, Ga. - The LaGrange College Baseball Team announced that Panther greats Baley Coleman and Adam Dorn would be joining the coaching staff for the 2025-26 season. This will be the two's first coaching stint with LC since playing for the Red and Black, with Coleman's last season being in 2023 and Dorn's in 2025, respectively.

"I couldn't be more excited to have Baley and Adam on staff," Panther head coach David Kelton said. "Both of them played five years in our program and excelled on and off the field. They were also apart of some special championship teams with us including our magical World Series run in 2022."

Kelton, who coached both Coleman and Dorn during the team's 2022 College World Series run, further expressed his optimism on their ability to make a tremendous impact on the team this upcoming season and beyond. "I can't wait to see both of them grow in this role and impact our program for many years to come."

Coleman, who joins LC after a coaching stint with Georgia Gwinnett College, was overjoyed to be reunited with his alma mater. "Being able to come back and coach in a program that grew me into the man I am today is very special," Coleman said. "To me, it is a fantastic opportunity to help these young men grow the same way I did."

Dorn echoed the sentiment, noting that it "[felt] amazing" to return in this new role. "This place and program means so much to me," Dorn said. "It's a great feeling to be back."

Coleman shared a few of the opportunities that he's most excited for as the Panthers' new pitching coach. "With this being my first year on the LC staff, I am looking forward to watching these players grow and develop," Coleman said. "I am ecstatic to have a different point of view in the LaGrange College dugout. That is the most important thing."

One goal the class of 2023 graduate keyed in on was to rise to the challenge by the players and coaching staff to improve every day. "I want our players to be challenged by each other, as well as our coaching staff to improve everyday," Coleman said. "Ultimately, if we all improve everyday, things will take care of themselves."

As for Dorn, who helped lead the Panthers to a prolific offensive season in 2025 as a player, he similarly relished the chance to impact the young LC stars this upcoming season. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to develop players. I want to pass on the knowledge that I learned while I was here at LaGrange to the new guys coming in," Dorn said. "The only goal I have for this coming year is to do my part to help get this team back to winning a conference championship."

The two have wasted no time either, getting straight to the recruiting trail and also helping run Coach Kelton's summer youth baseball camps, as they prepare for one of the most anticipated seasons in program history in the spring of 2026.
