LAGRANGE, Ga. – As the Panthers prepare for the conference quarterfinals, five players from the LaGrange College baseball team have been voted to the 2026 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) All-Conference honors in an announcement by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
Senior shortstop
Jackson McElvy (Kennesaw, Ga.) earned All-Conference First Team honors in a season that saw him lead the Panthers in batting average, hits, OPS, runs scored, total bases, walks and stolen bases. McElvy's lead-off solo home run against Maryville last Saturday gave the senior 200 career hits and saw LaGrange take a lead they would never relinquish. It was McElvy's second All-CCS First Team selection. At press time, McElvy was hitting .416 with 62 hits, 27 RBI and 25 stolen bases.
Senior first baseman
Curt Bonner (Cartersville, Ga.) earned All-Conference First Team honors in a season that saw him bring power to the lineup all year long, leading the team in triples and RBI, while ranking second in OPS, hits, doubles, total bases and on-base percentage. It was Bonner's second All-CCS First Team selection and the third overall of his career. At press time, Bonner was hitting .368 with 51 RBI.
Senior pitcher
Trystin Merson (Dallas, Ga.) made the All-CCS Second Team after leading the Panthers' pitching staff this season, going 5-2 with a 4.66 ERA and 54 strikeouts. Merson's biggest moment came on February 28
th when he pitched a school-record seventeen strikeouts in a 4-1 victory at NC Wesleyan, a performance that earned him d3baseball.com Team of the Week honors.
Redshirt freshman pitcher
Blake Myers (Ballground, Ga.) all made the CCS All-Conference Second Team, appearing in 21 games and going 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA with 19 strikeouts.
Freshman centerfielder
Tanner Morneau (Marietta, Ga.) came to his own late in his first season and ultimately claimed All-Conference Second Team honors. The rookie led the Panthers' lineup in slugging while ranking second in batting average. At press time, Morneau was hitting .398 with .520 slugging and 26 RBI.
Senior second baseman
Evan Graham (Roswell, Ga.) was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.
