LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman outside hitter
Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) of the LaGrange College women's volleyball team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 19th, 2025, in an announcement by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Krabs made her presence felt once again this past week, averaging 5.75 kills per set and hitting .211 across eight sets in matches against Belhaven and Maryville. She recorded a career-high 27 kills with five blocks in the Panthers' thrilling comeback victory over the Blazers on Thursday, rallying her team back from a two-set deficit. Krabs continues to rank among the conference's top hitters, currently sitting at third in kills per set at 2.93.

Daniel Schulte said of his star rookie. "We believe her best is yet to come."
It is Krab's second CCS Rookie of the Week award in three weeks, as she was previously recognized for week ending October 5
th.
Krabs currently leads the Panthers in kills, kills per set, points, points per set and reception percentage, all in just her first season.
With five conference matches to go, the Panthers are currently fourth in the CCS standings. LaGrange is back on the court on Wednesday when they travel to Huntingdon College for a 7:00 p.m. match with crucial CCS playoff implications.
