Due to weather conditions, kickoff for this match has been moved to 6:15 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 28) at Chattanooga Christian School.
The LaGrange College Women's Soccer Team (2-3-3) are scheduled to travel to Lookout Mountain, Ga to take on Covenant College (5-2-0) in their first CCS match of the season Saturday (Sept. 28).
The Matchup
The Panthers are coming off a tough home loss on Tuesday (Sept. 24) where they were bested by Oglethorpe University by a razor-thin margin in a 2-1 final. They will be hungry to mark the opening of conference play with a big win against a Covenant team that they have yet to beat since the two first met in 1994. Saturday's match will be the 19th meeting between the two.
As for the Scots, they opened CCS play last Saturday (Sept. 21) with a 1-0 victory over Huntingdon College. With a full week to prepare, they will look to continue their winning ways in a big home match against a motivated LC squad.
Players to Watch
Haylei Hasan scored her first career goal with the Panthers against Oglethorpe on Tuesday. She will be a major factor in the team's offensive efforts on Saturday in what is sure to be a hard-fought battle.
AnnaLi Weekley leads the Scots with three goals and an assist on the year. Weekley has proven to be a key component for CC, scoring in three of the team's five wins this season.
