Briana Suarez's 42nd minute goal pushed the Panthers past the Hawks (Oct. 19).

In the first half, both teams created a handful of chances to score but nothing was going in. The game looked like it was going to be a scoreless half. That was until a great pass from Kirsten Captino found Briana Suarez for her to stuff in a goal in the 42nd.  Freshman goalkeeper Anna Wright shut down any shot that came her way. In the first, she saved all three shots on net. 

While the Panthers continued to take chances in the second, the game slowed down in the half. Neither team was able to score a goal and Wright finished the half with one save. LC won 1-0.

The team travels to Kentucky this Saturday (Oct. 21) to face the Bears of Berea. The kickoff is at 1 p.m.
