LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's soccer team opened their 2025 season with a 4-0 loss to visiting Berry College in non-conference action on Saturday evening at Panther Field in LaGrange, Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Vikings pounced on a young Panthers team from the opening minutes, scoring just 4:38 into the match on a goal by Berry sophomore forward Giselle Aitken (Marietta, Ga.) with an assist to senior midfielder Teresa Rodriguez (Land O Lakes, Fla.). Less than four minutes later, senior midfielder Caroline Crimi (Homewood, Ala.) made it 2-0, a score that held up going into halftime.
- In the second, Aitken scored again in the 57th minute while Rodriguez scored the final goal of the game just 1:12 later.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange freshman goalkeeper Carsen Makuch (Marietta, Ga.), playing her first collegiate game ever, tallied 12 saves in a valiant effort.
- Shots were 23-2 in favor of the Vikings.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the field on Wednesday when they travel to Point University for a 7:00 p.m. match.
- Berry looks to move to 3-0 when they travel to Emory University, also on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
