Visiting Brevard downed LaGrange 2-0 in a non-conference game Friday. The Tornados upped their record to 8-4, while the Panthers are now 1-10.

Brevard got a first half goal from Sydney Alencewicz and a late goal off a penalty kick by Ashley Hughes. The Panthers' best scoring chances came in the first half. Ashley Jacobson's shot was stopped by goalkeeper Rebeccah Rojas. Rojas later flicked away Angela Kaye's shot to keep the Panthers off the board.

DeAundra Green and Saige MacLeay each had four saves in goal for LC.

The Panthers host Covenant on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a USA South game.
