RALEIGH, N.C. - LaGrange took on USA South co-leader Meredith on Sunday. Freshman Jesse Grogan was in goal for the Panthers, making eight saves in the match.

The Panthers (3-7, 2-2 USA South) played Meredith (6-4, 4-0 USA South) to a scoreless draw in the first half. The Avenging Angels broke through in the second half to win 4-0.

The match was the first of three straight for the Panthers against teams at the top of the conference standings. The Panthers play at Maryville on Wednesday and host Covenant on Saturday at Panther Field beginning at 5 p.m.
