Meredith used a second half surge to down LaGrange 3-0 in a USA South game Sunday. The Panthers are 4-3 now and 1-1 in conference play. 

The two teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half. In the second half, Meredith (4-3-1, 2-0 USA South) got a goal in the 53rd minute to go up 1-0. The Avenging Angels tacked on two more goals later in the half for the 3-0 final.

The Panthers' best scoring chance came in the first half. Rebecca Sanders broke free but her shot was stopped by Jaisa Loch to keep the game scoreless.

The Panthers are on the road next week for three games, starting Wednesday at Berry. They play at William Peace and Ferrum on Saturday and Sunday in USA South gamesl
