DANVILLE, Va. - Averett blanked LaGrange 2-0 in a USA South match Saturday. The Panthers are now 5-9 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

The Cougars (2-9, 2-4 USA South) got an early first half goal, then added an insurance goal in the second half. They had a 22-12 shot advantage over the Panthers, including 13-4 in shots on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Courtney Slauson had 11 saves in the game. She came into the game third in the USA South in saves.

The Panthers play at Greensboro on Sunday in another USA South game.
