Women's Soccer: Panthers edge Huntingdon for first GSAC win of season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Shelby Stanfield's first half goal was enough for LaGrange as the Panthers edged Huntingdon 1-0 on Tuesday in a Great South Athletic Conference match. The win was the first in GSAC play this season for the Panthers, now 4-9-1 overall and 1-3-1 in conference play.

Stanfield scored her goal unassisted in the 32nd minute of the first half. She leads the team in goals scored with five.

Goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro recorded her third shutout of the season. Totaro made five saves in the match. The Panthers had a 16-9 shot advantage, with a 8-5 edge in shots on goal.

The Panthers play at Spelman on Sunday.
