LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman
A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) of the LaGrange College women's track and field team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Track Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 5, 2026 in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.
Hill continued her impressive freshman campaign at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements meet, competing in both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. Hill placed 12th out of 83 competitors in the 100 with a time of 12.11, a mark that ranks second in the CCS and sets a new LaGrange program record. She also finished 27th out of 84 in the 200 (25.58), which ranks third in the conference this season.
It is the second straight week a Panther from the track and field program has earned a CCS Rookie of the Week award, as freshman
Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) was named the Field Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 29
th.
LaGrange is back on the track on April 17
th to 18
th when they compete at Georgia Tech Invitational.
