SAVANNAH, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Savannah State Eyeopener hosted by Savannah State University at Theodore Wright Stadium in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday.

TOP PERFORMERS

• Freshman D'Aaron Cox (Atlanta, Ga.) enjoyed a top-10 finish in the men's shot put with a distance of 10.55m. Cox would finish ninth in the men's discus throw with a 30.40m showing.
• Freshman Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) finished third in the women's long jump finals with a score of 5.13m. Her time in women's 100 -meter dash prelims was 13.15 seconds.
• Freshman Alan Vidrio Buen Rostro (Lawrenceville, Ga.) posted a time of 4:41.20 in the men's 1500 meter run finals, good for an 11^th place finish. Vidro finished with a time of 2:18.27 in the men's 800 meter finals.
• Freshman Jaylah Ortiz (Atlanta, Ga.) had a 1:12.90 in the women's 400-meter dash.
• Freshman A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) posted a 12.89 in the women's 100-meter dash.
• Freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) clocked a time of 11:44 in the men's 100-meter prelims.
• Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) broke his own school record in the men's 200- meter dash with a time of 21.55. Mighten's time ranks him 18^th in the nation in Division III for this season. Mighten later broke his own school record in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 48.59.
• Freshman Fabian Coleman (Atlanta, Ga.) clocked a time of 24.36 in the men's 200-meter dash finals.

UP NEXT

• LaGrange is back on the track on March 13-14th when they travel to Birmingham, Alabama, for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
