LAGRANGE, Ga. – For the second time in three weeks, freshman second baseman Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.) of the LaGrange College baseball team has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Rookie of the Week, this time for week ending February 22^nd in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

McGhee continued his strong start to the season, batting .429 (6-for-14) to help LaGrange post a 2–1 record on the week. McGhee drove in five runs, scored twice, and reached base consistently throughout the stretch. His contributions were pivotal in the Panthers' 7–4 victory over No. 2 ranked Endicott College.

McGhee was previously recognized as the CCS Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 8, 2026

For the season, McGhee is batting .381 with a team-high 16 hits as well as four walks, five stolen bases and 12 RBI.

LaGrange is back on the field on Tuesday when they host Emory University for a 6:00 p.m. game.
