LAGRANGE, Ga. – With the start of the season fast approaching, the LaGrange College baseball program formally announced the team's 2026 schedule this week.

Head coach David Kelton's 13^th season sees the Panthers returning an impressive core that will be bolstered by a recruiting class that includes twenty incoming freshmen.

Graduate outfielder Jorge Fragoso (East Point, Ga.) will provide veteran leadership, as he hit .302 last season with four home runs and 36 runs batted while earning Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) All-Conference second team honors.

Senior outfielder / designated hitter Curt Bonner (Cartersville, Ga.) was a standout last year as he hit .365 with six home runs and 32 RBIs in 2025.
Senior shortstop Jackson McElvy (Kennesaw, Ga.) will headline the infield, having hit .400 last season with 22 RBIs and a team-high nine stolen bases, all in just 29 games.       

Senior left-handed pitcher Eduardo Peralta (David, Chirqui, Panama) leads the pitching staff, having produced a 4.66 ERA in 48 1/3 innings of work on the mound in 2025.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Josiah Chiesa (Dalton, Ga.) is coming off a sensational rookie season that saw him earn CCS Rookie of the Year accolades, posting a 3.13 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings in 2025, as well as earning All-Conference second team honors.

Top projected newcomers include freshman infielder Collin McGhee (Ball Ground, Ga.), freshman outfielder Brax Carson (Douglas, Ga.) and freshman pitcher Beau Collier (Labelle, Fla.).

The 2026 season opens on Friday, February 6^th when the team travels to Montgomery, Alabama for the Huntingdon College Tournament.

The Panthers return to LaGrange to open their home schedule Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium on Friday, February 13^th when they begin a three-game series against Milikin University. LC will host their own tournament from Friday, February 20^th to the 22^nd.

Conference play begins on Friday, March 13^th when the Panthers travel down Interstate-85 for a three-game series against the Hawks of Huntingdon.
