Panthers’ Track & Field Contends at KMS

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The LaGrange College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the KMS Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday.

TOP PERFORMERS

Freshman Alan Vidrio Buen Rostro (Lawrenceville, Ga.) broke his own school record in the men's 600-meter run with a time of 1:37.83. Vidro also posted a time of 2:20.10 in the men's 800-meter run, just missing his own record.
Freshman A'mya Hill (Fitzgerald, Ga.) made the finals of the women's 60-meter dash, coming in fourth with a time of 7.99. Hill earlier broke her own school record in the 60 for the second time in as many days with a time of 7.92 in the semifinals as well as an 8.02 in the preliminaries. Hill also had a time of 27.95 in the women's 200-meter dash, just missing her school record by .19.
Freshman Ryheem Mighten (Kingston, Jamaica) established a LaGrange school-record in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 50.52.
Freshman Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) broke her own school record in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.17 meters, good for fifth place on the day. Bell then established a LaGrange school record in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.25 meters, finishing in sixth place. Bell also joined Hill in the women's 60-meter dash finals, clocking a time of 8.02 seconds for fifth place. Bell had posted an 8.06 in the semifinals and an 8.16 in the preliminary round.
Freshman Fabian Coleman (Atlanta, Ga.) ran a 7.17 in the semifinals of the men's 60-meter dash, this after posting a 7.15 in the preliminaries. Coleman also ran a time of 24.31 in the men's 200-meter dash.
Freshman Jaylen Adams-Gibson (Rome, Ga.) clocked a time of 22.88 in the men's 200-meter dash.
Freshman Roman Brown (Covington, Ga.) had a time of 23.31 in the men's 200-meter dash.
Freshman Cymir Zeigler (Montgomery, Ala.) posted a distance of 5.34 meters in the men's long jump and a 13.04 meters mark in the men's triple jump.
Freshman D'Aaron Cox (Atlanta, Ga.) threw for a distance of 9.85 meters in the men's shot put.
In the men's 4 x 200-meter relay, Coleman, Adams-Gibson, Brown and Zeigler combined for a time of 1:33.08, establishing a new LaGrange school record.
In the men's 4 x 400-meter relay, Adams-Gibson, Brown, Mighten and Vidro combined for a time of 3:36.25.
