PRATTVILLE, Al. - The LaGrange College Men's Golf Team finished in 18th place this week (Apr. 7-8) at the Capitol City Classic. The tournament, hosted by Huntingdon College, was played at the Senator Course at the Capitol Hill Club, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
Tournament Recap
LC struggled on day one. Thanks to inclement weather, the tournament was cut from 54 to 36 holes, with eighteen holes being played each day. With a pushed back tee time, the Panthers shot 327 in round one.
Eli Rogers led LaGrange with a 76 on day one.
The Panthers significantly improved on day two (Apr. 8), shooting a round of 304.
Trey Galbraith led LC with a 74 on day two, with a strong stretch of golf throughout the round. "While I may have left a few shots on the course, I managed to score very strategically," Galbraith said when reflecting on the week. The 74 was the lowest score of the Madison, Fl native's young LC career. "I tried to stay resilient through the bad weather and managed to keep my mental game in a good place."

LaGrange was led individually by Rogers. The North Oconee High School product finished in a tie for 55th at nine over par, shooting rounds of 76-77, respectively.
