LAGRANGE, Ga. – Senior guard
Laila Battle (Smyrna, Ga.) of the LaGrange College women's basketball team was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Player of the Week in an announcement by the conference on Monday.
Battle opened her season in commanding fashion, averaging 20.3 points across three games while adding 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.6 steals per contest. Battle delivered her biggest performance on Sunday, pouring in 27 points to guide the Panthers to their first win of the year—an 84–76 victory over the Tigers of Sewanee in the CCS/SAA Classic.

At press time, the Campbell High School product boasts an impressive all-around line of 61 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and 11 steals.
The Panthers return to the court on Friday and Saturday when they host Rhodes College
