Today (May 1), the Collegiate Conference of the South announced the season softball awards. Alexa Gonzalez and Kenzie Hornsby both earned spots on this year's conference teams. 

Junior Alexa Gonzalez was selected to the Second Team All-Conference. She finished conference play ranking in the top-ten in seven different hitting categories. In CCS play, she was #2 in at-bats, #5 in homers, #7 in slugging percentage, #7 RBIs, #7 in doubles, #9 in triples and #10 in hits. The outfielder also limited her errors with only two throughout the 41 games played. 

Junior Kenzie Hornsby was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team. Coaches say that Kenzie always has a positive attitude and demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship. In 32 games played, she posted a .260 hitting average, with 51 putouts and three assists in the outfield. She only committed one error.
