JACKSON, Miss. – The LaGrange College softball team concluded their regular season with a pair of losses in their double-header at top-seeded Belhaven University in Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) action on Saturday at McLeod Field in Jackson, Mississippi.
GAME 1 – LAGRANGE 3, BELHAVEN 11
- Down 3-0 in the top of the third, senior second baseman Claire Chamberlain (Rome, Ga.) got the Panthers on the board with an RBI double to left center to drive in freshman third baseman Bailey Gamel (Dallas, Ga.). Two batters later, sophomore first baseman Kayla Helms (Dallas, Ga.) stepped to the plate and cranked a double down the left field line, scoring Chamberlain and sophomore centerfielder Addi Grace Dennis (Grayson, Ga.). Just like that, LaGrange had tied the game at 3-3 with the best team in the conference.

GAME 2 – LAGRANGE 2, BELHAVEN 10
- In game two, the Panthers found themselves down 9-0 and facing defeat in the top of the fifth when Grace Dennis scored off a throwing error to get them on the board. Sophomore shortstop Cannon Ramsey (Tallahassee, Fla.) scored off another throwing error, giving LaGrange the chance to extend the game. But the Blazers scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the fifth to complete the sweep.
