LC Softball falls to Piedmont University

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Panthers lost their away doubleheader to the Lions of Piedmont University 5-1 and 6-0 (April 14).

Game details
Claire Chamberlain was the first Panther to pitch today. In 86 innings pitched this year, she has a 4.68 ERA. During the first two innings, the Lions found themselves up 2-0 after hitting a pair of RBIs. PU added three more runs and went on to win 5-1. The LC point came from a Brooke Coleman RBI double in the seventh. Chamberlain finished with two strikeouts, 13 hits and five allowed runs.

Game two details
Jenna Yeary pitched in game two for the Panthers. In 57 innings thrown this season, she has a 5.76 ERA. During the first inning, the Lions grabbed a 3-0 lead. The Lions added three more runs in the third inning to go up 6-0. PU held on to win 6-0. In six innings pitched, Jenna Yeary threw four strikeouts and allowed six runs off of ten hits.
