Game one details
Eduardo Peralta started on the mound today for the Panthers. The first inning ended with the Scots holding a 3-1 lead over LC. The Panther points came from a sacrifice fly RBI by
Joe Ruth. LC scored a run in the next three innings to go up 4-3. These points came from a
David Smigelski homer, Smigelski RBI and an
Adam Dorn RBI single. In the fourth, the Scots regained a 5-4 lead over the Panthers. During the fifth
Eli Folds came in for the Panthers to pitch. In four innings pitched, Peralta finished with four strikeouts with nine hits and five allowed runs. The Scots led 5-4 until they added four more runs in the sixth. LC scored four runs in the ninth but the Scots held on to win 9-8. These points came for two throwing errors and a
Joe Ruth RBI double down the right line.

Game two details
Freshman
Logan Willis pitched first for LC in game two. In the third inning,
Joe Ruth put the Panthers up 1-0 when he drove
Rhett Mixon in. In the fifth,
Adam Dorn extended the LC lead to 2-0 after hitting a sacrifice fly RBI. The Scots responded by scoring four runs in the bottom of the inning. That is when Willis was rotated out for
Caden Hare. The Scots added another run in the sixth to go up 5-2. In this inning,
Benjamin Epperley relieved Hare on the mound. The Panthers stormed back in the eighth to tie it at 5-5. The LC scoring run started off with an
Adam Dorn homer over the left field fence.
Jorge Fragoso and
Colby Zinser then each hit an RBI to tie up the game. The Scots answered with two runs. Covenant College won 7-5.
