Box Score 2 Today (March 2), the Panthers faced the Pfeiffer Falcons in a doubleheader. LC lost the first game 8-0 and the second game 5-0.
Game one details
Sophomore 
Jenna Yeary was the first Panther to pitch in the Saturday doubleheader. Yeary is 1-2 on the year with a 3.37 ERA. The undefeated Falcons started off hot, going up 3-0 in the first inning. The game stayed at 3-0 until Pfeffer added another four runs in the fourth. Going into the fifth, the Falcons held a 7-0 lead. 
Jenna Yeary was relieved by freshman 
Maddie Chauvin. The game ended in the fifth with Pfeffer winning 8-0. The Falcons held LC to one hit in the first game.
Game two details 
Sophomore 
Claire Chamberlain started game two on the mound for the Panthers. Chamberlain has a 2-3 W/L record, 4.30 ERA and 14 total strikeouts. Game two stayed scoreless until the Falcons hit a two-run homer in the third. After three, Pfeiffer led 2-0. Similarly to the Point doubleheader exhibition (Feb. 3), the Panthers were able to settle in for game two. Despite allowing this one homer, both teams looked much more evenly matched in the second game. In the fourth inning, the host Falcons added two more runs to extend their lead to 4-0. Pfeiffer scored one more in the fifth inning and 
Claire Chamberlain would be relieved on the mound by sophomore 
Katelyn Minnihan. The Falcons held on to win 5-0.

Jenna Yeary pitched a total of four innings, allowed six hits, seven runs and struck out one Falcon.
Freshman 
Maddie Chauvin closed out the first game for the Panthers. In one inning pitched, she allowed one run and one hit. 
In five innings pitched, sophomore 
Claire Chamberlain allowed nine hits and five runs.
