Game one details
Dalton Brooks started on the mound for the Panthers today. Brooks has a 4-0 record, pitched in 22 innings and posted a 2.86 ERA so far this season. The visitors jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an RBI single that was hit over the shortstop's head. In the fourth inning, Brooks was relieved on the mound by
Caden Hare. The Panthers tied the game in the fifth after
Rhett Mixon hit a sacrifice fly RBI. In the seventh, the Scots established a 3-1 lead on a pair of RBI singles. Going into the eighth,
Eli Folds came in to take over the Panther pitching duties. LC cut the Scots lead to 3-2 thanks to an RBI single by
Fletcher Hislop. In the bottom of the ninth,
Brody Hollingsworth hit a walk off two-run RBI to secure a 4-3 win over the visiting Scots.
Game two details
Eduardo Peralta was the first Panther pitcher in game two. In 16 innings pitched this season, he has a 4.32 ERA and a 1-2 W/L record. The Panthers grabbed a 1-0 lead after
Colby Zinser hit a sacrifice fly RBI. During the bottom of the second, a wild pitch slipped past the Scots catcher, allowing
Curt Bonner to walk home. In the fourth inning, Peralta was relieved of his pitching duties by
Jack Richards. Richards threw for one inning and was replaced by
Nick Morgan. Going into the fifth, the Panthers trailed 4-2. LC responded by scoring three runs in the fifth. Two of these points came from a pair of RBIs by
Curt Bonner and
Adam Dorn.
Brody Hollingsworth was the third Panther to touch home plate this inning after a Fighting Scot error let him score. In the sixth,
Colby Zinser extended the LC lead to 6-4 on an RBI. During the eighth, Morgan rotated out for
Benjamin Epperley. The Scots brought the score to 6-5 in the top of the ninth but the Panthers held on to win.Â
Panther Pitchers
Senior
Dalton Brooks pitched in four innings during game one. He finished the day striking out two batters and allowing six hits and a run.Â
In game one, junior Caden relieved Brooks on the mound. In just over two innings pitched, he had one strikeout, allowed three hits and two runs.
Sophomore
Eli Folds closed out game one for the Panthers. In two innings thrown, he struck out three batters and did not let up any runs.
In game two, sophomore
Eduardo Peralta started on the mound. In three innings pitched, he had two strikeouts and allowed two runs.
Senior
Jack Richards replaced Peralta in game two. In one inning pitched he allowed two runs.
Junior
Nick Morgan came in for Richards during the fourth inning. He pitched in five innings, struck out five batters and only allowed two hits.
In game two, senior
Benjamin Epperley came in during the eighth inning. Through two innings, he had two strikeouts and allowed one run.

The Panthers host Berea College this weekend. Saturday is a doubleheader at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and the series closes with a 2 p.m. Sunday game.
