The only Panther constantly seeing the ball in today's first game was senior Alexa Gonzalez. She started the day going three for three on at bats. In the fifth inning, LC scored their first point, when an error by the Tiger outfielder allowed senior Lindsey Swearngin to score. The Tigers responded with two more runs to go up 5-1. In the top of the second, LC extended their lead to 3-0 after junior Alexa Gonzalez hit two Panthers home. Sophomore Jenna Yeary brought the score to 4-0 when a sacrifice hit brought in sophomore Kelsea Moody. After three innings, LC led 4-0. In the following inning, the Panthers continued their scoring run when another Tiger error allowed junior Abby Vanhoose to walk home.
