Following a 3-0 week for the Panthers,
Taylor Smith was named CCS Rookie of the Week after averaging six points and 7.3 rebounds.
The forward from Birmingham has been playing lights out all season. She averages 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, while shooting a solid 40% from the field. Smith has proven that she can be a game changer on the court. She scored a team-high 21 points against Wesleyan (Jan. 24), led the Panthers in rebounds (13) in the game against Agnes Scott (Jan. 16) and versus Belhaven (Jan. 24) she had a team-high five blocks. Amanda Mclendon, the Panther front court has played phenomenal this season.
