LAGRANGE, Ga. - The LaGrange College Women's Basketball Team is set for postseason action on Tuesday (Feb. 25), as they travel to Maryville, TN to take on the Scots of Maryville College in the quarterfinals of the Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament.

The Matchup
The Panthers come into this matchup after finishing their regular season strong with three-consecutive conference wins, downing Wesleyan, Agnes Scott and Covenant College. This marks the first time LaGrange has finished the regular season with a three-game winning streak in back-to-back seasons in the modern era (2005-Present). LC split their two regular season matchups with Maryville this year, winning the first game by a score of 63-57 in Mariotti and dropping the second on the road in an 84-74 final from the Cooper Athletic Center. They will look to nab the rubber match victory on Tuesday as they do battle with the Scots, who have historically played the spoiler for LaGrange in postseason play, winning all eight conference tournament matchups against the Red and Black since 2011.

Players to Watch
Look for Laila Battle to make a big impact for the Panthers on Tuesday against a Maryville team she's had no trouble scoring against, racking up 37 points in LC's two games with the Scots this season.

CCS All-Conference hopeful, Zyhia Johnson, will also be a key factor for LC. She leads the team and the conference in scoring with 447 points this season, good for 50 points more than the next-leading scorer at 397.
