Box Score The Panthers were led by Joe Cromwell. Cromwell scored 18 points
off the bench and along with teammate Nic Whitfield was selected to
the all-tournament team. Whitfield had six points and tied with
teammate Marcus Vaughn with a game-high 12 rebounds. Clay Wages was
the only other Panther in double figures with 11 points.
The Panthers shot only 29.7 percent in the game from the floor.
They shot better from 3-point range. The Panthers made 41.7 percent
of their treys in the game, hitting 5-of-7.
Centre never trailed in the game. The Colonels led 36-24 at
halftime. They continued to build on their lead in the second half.
The Colonels led by as much as 25 late in the game. Danny Noll led
the Colonels with a game-high 20 points.
The Panthers travel to Fayetteville, N.C. on Saturday to face
Methodist University. They return home to host North Carolina
Wesleyan on Monday.
