MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The LaGrange College men's basketball team suffered a heart-breaking 92-73 loss against second-seeded Belhaven University in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Tournament final on Saturday afternoon in the Cooper Athletic Center in Maryville, Tennessee.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- LaGrange had to battle back from a slow start, falling behind 11-3 in the first five minutes of play. They would respond, as junior guard Micah McAllister (Newnan, Ga.) put the Panthers on top with a steal and lay-in 16-15 with 12:31 left in the first half.
- The end of the opening half saw the Blazers regain control of the contest as they held a 12-point lead over the Panthers 44-32 at halftime.
- The Red and Black's resilience was put to the ultimate test as they turned up the heat offensively, scoring a much-improved total of 41 points in the second half.
- Despite a tremendous effort, the Panthers just could not contain a Blazers team that shot 47% from the field and 40% from behind the arc for 10 tre's, falling 92-73 in the championship game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- McAllister led LC with 23 points, in addition to eight rebounds and a pair of steals.
- Junior guard Devin Dowell (LaGrange, Ga.) enjoyed an 18-point performance, going 3-4 from behind the arc.
- Belhaven's CJ Minton (Indianola, Miss.) led his team with 18 points to secure the conference crown.
