LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College football team is traveling to Centre College this Saturday for 1:00 p.m. game against the host Colonels.
The Panthers (1-1, 0-0 USA South) are coming off their first loss of the season, that coming in a heart-breaking 20-17 loss at the 16^th-ranked Vikings of Berry College. LaGrange took a 17-13 lead early in the second half before the Vikings regained the lead.

LaGrange senior quarterback Henry Brodnax (Newnan, Ga.) threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. Junior quarterback Aaron McLaughlin (Alpharetta, Ga.) passed for 53 yards and rushed for another 41, leading the Panther ground game. For the season, Brodnax leads the Panthers with 236 passing yards and three touchdowns.

LaGrange graduate wide receiver Ashton Bryant (Athens, Ga.) led the Panthers with three catches totaling 42 yards against the Vikings. Junior tight end Mychal Stillwell (Warner Robins, Ga.) has led the LaGrange receiving corps with seven receptions for 112 yards over two games while sophomore wide receiver Austin Harris (Jonesboro, Ga.) has six catches for 105 yards.

The Panthers will look to senior running back Michael Hays (Jacksonville, Fla.) to lead their ground game, as he enters Saturday averaging 4.8 yards per carry.

The LaGrange defense is led by junior linebacker Ched Smith (Macon, Ga.) who has 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks through the first two games of the season. Junior defensive back Halbert Clark III (Mobile, Ala.) boasts ten tackles thus far, along with an interception against Berry last week.

The Colonels of Centre (0-1, 0-0 SAA) opened their season with a 17-0 loss at Hanover.

LaGrange prevailed over Centre in their game last season in Callaway, a 20-6 win that became the first victory of a nine-game winning streak.
