LAGRANGE, Ga. – Sophomore linebacker Jayven Hall (Roswell, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

The Roswell, Georgia sophomore linebacker collected ten total tackles, including three for a loss, and a pass breakup in a 16-14 win at Centre last week. Hall had six solo tackles and four assisted take downs while all three of his tackles for loss were unassisted.

Hall is the second Panther to earn USA South DPOTW honors this season, joining junior defensive back Messiah Scandrett (Atlanta, Ga.) who was recognized on Monday, September 7^th.

The Panthers (2-1, 0-0 USA South) now enter their bye week. They'll be back in action on Saturday, October 3rd when they travel to N.C. Wesleyan for their conference opener in a 1:00 p.m. game.
