Panthers Prepare to Defend Conference Title

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College football team, coming off their best season in school history and their first-ever USA South Athletic Conference Championship, has announced their game schedule for the upcoming 2026 season this fall.

The Panthers will open their season at home in Callaway Stadium on the evening of Saturday, September 5th when they play host to the Skyhawks of Point University in a clash of cross-county rivals. It will be the second time LaGrange and Point have squared off in football as the Panthers opened their 2025 season with a 36-14 victory in West Point.

All eyes will be on Valhalla Stadium in Mount Berry, Georgia on Saturday, September 12th when the Panthers return to the site of their NCAA Tournament second round game against the host Vikings of Berry College. Last season playoff game saw LaGrange come just inches away from victory in an 18-14 loss to end their historic season.

LaGrange heads to Danville, Kentucky on Saturday, September 19th to play at Centre College. Last season saw the Panthers beat the Colonels 20-6 at Callaway, the first of a school-record nine consecutive victories for LaGrange.

The Panthers will begin their defense of their USA South Conference Championship on Saturday, October 3rd when they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan University to face the host Battling Bishops. Last season saw LaGrange hold off NCWU with a 41-24 victory at Callaway.

After more than a month off-campus, the team will return to Callaway Stadium on Saturday, October 10th when they play host to the Monarchs of Methodist University. 2025 saw the Panthers prevail 26-7 in Fayetteville.

On October 17th LaGrange will travel to Brevard College in North Carolina to face the Tornadoes. Brevard gave the Panthers their toughest conference test of the season in an eventual 17-10 victory at Callaway.

Homecoming weekend on Saturday, October 24th will see the Panthers host the Pride of Greensboro College while they welcome home their alumni to LaGrange. L.C. prevailed 49-20 during last season's game in Greensboro.

The Panthers go back on the road for their next two games against the teams that finished just behind them in last season's standings. Halloween will see LaGrange attempt to haunt the Hawks of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama after handing their Interstate-85 rivals a 30-14 loss in 2025. On November 7th, they head to Belhaven University to face the Blazers. Last season saw the Panthers' defense dominate Belhaven in a 38-6 victory.

Finally, LaGrange hosts their Senior Day on Saturday, November 14th when they play host to Southern Virginia University in their final regular season game. Last year the Panthers had their best offensive performance of the season in a 65-27 win over the Knights in Buena Vista.
