LAGRANGE, Ga. – Four players from the LaGrange College football team were voted to the 2025 D3football.com All-Region 3 Team in an announcement on Wednesday.
Senior defensive back
Deon King Jr. (Vienna, Ga.) earned first team All-Region honors after leading the Panther defense with 19 tackles-for-a-loss and 10.5 sacks this season, both team highs and leading the conference in tackles-for-a-loss. King was named USA South Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season after a dominant performance over arch-rival Huntingdon College.
Senior cornerback
Legend Doggett (McDonough, Ga.) joined King on the first team, leading the Panthers' secondary, with four interceptions and ten pass breakups this season. Doggett earned a D3football.com Team of the Week award for his dominant performance against Belhaven.
Freshman defensive lineman
Zymarion Hudson (Cordele, Ga.) was a force on the line all season for the Panthers, anchoring a defense that finished first in the USA South in virtually every major statistical category. The rookie finished with 44 tackles and 14.0 tackles for a loss along with six sacks, totaling 79 yards. Hudson was also voted the USA South Defensive Rookie of the Year in the same release.
Junior offensive lineman
Aaron Hunter (Dothan, Ala.) was voted third team All-Region, anchoring a unit that led the USA South in fewest sacks allowed, ranking 19th in the NCAA. The Panthers led the conference in both rushing and total offense, all made possible by the work done by Hunter and the offensive line.
All four players had previously been voted to the USA South Athletic Conference First Team after leading the Panthers to their best season in school history. LaGrange went 10-2, winning the USA South Championship and reaching the second round of the NCAA Championship Tournament.
It is the first time any Panther has been voted to the D3football.com All-Region team since former LC standout tight end
De'Queze Fryer (Macon, Ga.), now a LaGrange tight end coach, made second team in 2022.
Congratulations again to the entire team for their achievements.
