LAGRANGE, Ga. – Four student-athletes from the LaGrange College football program have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team as announced by the CSC on Tuesday.
Senior kicker
Brandon Matson (Apopka, Fla.), senior linebacker
Chase Shelton (Loganville, Ga.), junior quarterback
Henry Brodnax (Newnan, Ga.) and sophomore linebacker
Wyatt Tant (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) were all recognized by the association for their performance both on the field and in the classroom.
2025 was the best season in school history for the LaGrange College Panthers as the team finished 10-2, winning nine straight games and claiming the USA South championship with a perfect 7-0 record. The Panthers traveled to Framingham State University for the first round of the NCAA Tournament where they prevailed 24-21 before coming up just short in an 18-14 loss at Berry College to end their season.
The Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The College Sports Communicators – formerly CoSIDA – have recognized outstanding academics among student-athletes since 1952.
