Deon King Jr. (Vienna, Ga.) and senior cornerback
Legend Doggett (McDonough, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team were both voted to the 2025 D3football.com All-American team in an announcement on Monday.
King was voted Second Team All-American after a dominant force for the Panthers all season, leading the LaGrange defense with 19 tackles-for-a-loss and 10.5 sacks this season, both team highs and leading the conference in tackles-for-a-loss. As of this writing, he finished ranked in the top 25 in the nation in sacks per game.
Doggett was voted Third Team All-American, leading a Panthers' secondary that ranked in the top five in the nation in interceptions. Doggett posted four interceptions and ten pass breakups this season. Earlier this season Doggett earned a D3football.com Team of the Week award for his dominant performance against Belhaven.
King and Doggett were two of four Panthers to earn D3football.com All-Region honors, both making the Region 3 First Team. They were likewise two of six players from LaGrange to earn All-Conference USA South Athletic Conference First Team accolades.
2025 was the best season in school history for the LaGrange College Panthers as the team finished 10-2, winning nine straight games and claiming the USA South championship with a perfect 7-0 record. The Panthers traveled to Framingham State University for the first round of the NCAA Tournament where they prevailed 24-21 before coming up just short in an 18-14 loss at Berry College to end their season.
