LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman wide receiver
Dami'on Thompson (Atlanta, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 7, 2025.
In his first-ever collegiate game, Thompson busted out during the Panthers' 36-14 season-opening win at Point University on Saturday night, leading the LaGrange receiving corps by hauling in four catches for 134 yards and one score.
During the game's very first play from scrimmage, catching a 77-yard touchdown from LaGrange freshman quarterback
Aaron Bryant (Homerville, Ga.) to give the Panthers the early lead.
At press time, Thompson ranked 16
th in the nation in both receiving yards and in receiving yards per game as well as ranking second in the conference.

- LaGrange is back on the field on Saturday when they play their first home game of the season at Callaway Stadium as they host Berry College in a 7:30 p.m. game.
