Panthers fall just shy of USA South Tournament, look ahead to all-conference awards

LAGRANGE, Ga. - The LaGrange College Men's Lacrosse Team (2-8, 2-6 USA South) saw their season reach its conclusion this past weekend, dropping their final regular season tilt to William Peace University (5-7, 3-5 USA South), who clinched the final conference tournament spot over LC with the 15-12 result on Friday (Apr. 17). The Panthers will now look ahead towards all-conference awards as their stars aim to take home some individual hardware after a hard-fought season.

Top Panther Performances of 2025
Nicholas Murciano was the Panthers' top-scorer this year. The junior out of Gainesville, Ga racked up 23 goals in LC's 10 games this season, good for 2.3 goals per game. His season high of five goals in one game occurred twice, reaching the mark against Brevard College and William Peace.

Tristen Cuda dominated the faceoff circle for LC with over 130 faceoff wins. The sophomore East Paulding High School product also collected 124 ground balls, good for fifth-best in the entire nation. The Panthers' faceoff man also found the back of the net 10 times over the course of the year, making an impact on the scoresheet as well.

Freshman Simon Belford was one of the best attackers for LaGrange this season. In his first year of collegiate lacrosse, the Kennesaw, Ga native amassed 15 points to the tune of eight goals and seven assists for a solid rookie campaign.

Aiden Psalmonds was another key piece for the LC offense. The junior attackman collected 13 goals and four assists in a career-high year.

Tyler Abrams proved to be one of the highest impact players for the Panthers in 2025. In his junior effort, Abrams tallied 14 goals off 25 shots on goal with two assists, 24 ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Jonah Polhemus guarded the net valiantly in his first season with the Red and Black. The Birmingham Southern transfer made 152 saves this season, receiving credit for both of LC's wins over Brevard and Huntingdon College.

Lucas Webb led the helm this season after an early season coaching change, picking up his first-ever wins as an NCAA DIII lacrosse coach in what will go down as one of the gutsiest seasons in program history.
